This Cookies Policy explains how VERICOM AQUITAINE (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on vericomaquitaine.com.
1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They can be session (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept until they expire or you delete them). Similar technologies include localStorage, pixels, and tags.
2) Who sets cookies?
- First-party cookies — set by our domain.
- Third-party cookies — set by external providers (e.g., analytics). These run only if you consent.
3) What do we use them for?
We group cookies by purpose. You can control them (except “Necessary”) in the Preferences Center.
- Necessary (always active): security, load balancing, basic site functions, your consent choice storage.
- Preferences: remember choices like language or form values.
- Analytics: measure site traffic and performance (e.g., pages visited, time on page).
- Marketing: measure campaigns or show relevant content from partners.
4) Legal basis
For necessary cookies: our legitimate interest in providing a functional, secure site.
For preferences/analytics/marketing: your consent (you can change it anytime in the Preferences Center).
5) How long do we keep them?
- Necessary: for the duration needed (session to 12 months).
- Preferences/Analytics/Marketing: typically 6–13 months (see the table below). Exact lifetimes depend on the provider.
6) Managing cookies
- Use our Preferences Center (banner or footer link “Cookie Settings”).
- You can also delete/disable cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may impact site features.
7) Data sharing & transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where applicable, we use safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). See our Privacy Policy for more.
8) Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time and exercise GDPR rights (access, erase, etc.). Contact: contact@vericomaquitaine.com for more.

Cookie Table (example template)
| Category | Name (example) | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | cookie_consent | vericomaquitaine.com | Stores your consent preferences | 12 months |
| Preferences | site_lang | vericomaquitaine.com | Saves language choice | 6 months |
| Analytics | _ga / _gid | Google (if enabled) | Traffic & usage stats (aggregated) | 13 / 1 mo |
| Marketing | (as used) | (provider) | Campaign measurement/retargeting | varies |
Update this table with the actual tools you add (e.g., Matomo/Google Analytics). If you don’t use Marketing cookies, remove that row.
Footer link
Add a footer link pointing to #cookie-preferences or a small JS hook to reopen the Preferences Center:
- Link text: Cookie Settings
- Link target:
href="#"withonclick="window.VCConsent.open()"
Preferences Center (Banner + Modal + Conditional Scripts)
Paste the whole block once (ideally before
</body>). Replace placeholders where noted.
How it works:
- We set/read a single cookie
cookie_consent(JSON) for categories.- Any script you want to load only after consent must be added as
<script type="text/plain" data-consent="analytics">…</script>or withdata-srcfor external files.- When the user accepts, we “activate” those scripts.
